Tecnipul | Glass fiber Reinforced Polyester

Electric power, renewable energy

Sectors

Electric power:
The dielectric property of the composite makes GRP profiles the most suitable option for insulating overhead power transmission and distribution lines, catenaries, and electrical equipment. The commonly used profiles are GRP rods and these can be produced with vinyl ester or epoxy resin depending on the properties required by the project.

Wind power:
GRP plates and profiles are used as structural reinforcements in the manufacture of wind blades. These profiles, depending on the working conditions to which they will be submitted, can be made of fiberglass or carbon fiber, and can be manufactured with an isophthalic, vinyl ester, or epoxy resin matrix depending on the properties required by the project.

Solar energy:
The mechanical resistance, thermal and electrical insulation, and resistance to corrosion make GRP profiles the most appropriate option for the support structures for photovoltaic panels.

Tecnipul can supply mechanized profiles, making easy the assembly of the structures on-site.
